Hoglorfen's News

My inspiration broke so I ventured forth into the magical realm of randomised Orc name generators to find the perfect name for a new character. These things really are double-edged swords. Sometimes they give you wonderful names. Other times, they give you Orgashm and Fapdhat.

Now I have to give those two personalities that in no way fit their names. There's no other way out of this. Curse you, random Orc name generator!

Now you'll never be rid of me, mwehehe.

So, some kind of introduction: I'm Hoglorfen. My escapades in the Tolkien fandom began in 2001 when "The Fellowship Of The Ring" aired in cinemas. Yes, I'm one of those sub-par fans who saw the movies before reading the books and I was SOLD, is the short of it. Especially on the Orcs; such sublime, graceful creat- aw, who am I kidding? They're awful and delicious and gritty and amazing. I started out with Nordic LARP, first playing an Elf for a few years before getting stuck in Orc swamp for good. Photo proof below.

I discovered fanfiction at the same time and began writing a fic called "All in the Glow of the Mountain" under the awful pen-name Angel Of Spiders, but scrapped it after a while because it was about as awful as the name. It's still floating around FanFiction.net because I never bothered to delete it and have since lost the password and e-mail I used back then. But I could never truly forget about it and in 2015, I found it by accident on an old USB stick and decided to reuse some of the characters for a new fic. I descended into an unshowered pit of chocolate for a month and out came "The Ties That Bind", nowadays the second part of the series that is "In the Glow of the Mountain". More old characters joined and new ones were introduced and the rest, as they say, is history.

When I'm not writing or drawing, I play PC games (LOTRO and ESO, among others) and bike around the forests of Forodwaith with my baby warg.
